Taberna la Dolores

Taberna la Dolores

Taberna la Dolores is a great little bar in the Plaza de Jesús, just behind the Plaza de Canovas del Castillo (Neptune's Fountain), which has been serving the public since 1908. It is a busy place at lunchtime with many Madrileños coming here for a caña, a canapé or raciones (small plates of food). You should try out the tuna (bonito en escabeche) anchovies (boquerones en vinagre), cheeses (quesos) or simply the jamón.
