Fuente de la Alcachofa - Retiro Park
The Fuente de Alcachofa (Artichoke Fountain) was designed by Ventura Rodríguez and decorated with sculptures by Alfonso Vergaz, Antonio Primo made the cupids and artichoke. The fountain was consructed in 1781 and was initially located in the Puerta de Atocha, before being moved in 1880 to its actual position. It is now located at one of the corners of the boating lake in Retiro Park.
